Video Marketing Strategy

At this point social media is becoming an integral part of our personal and professional lives. It is hard to keep up with the new networks and tools seemingly appearing every day. Social Media has come so far since the early days of simply gaining followers and getting likes. It’s personal now. That is why, in 2015, video will become the largest part of social media. Here are some tips you can use for a video marketing strategy in 2015.

We have already seen the signs in the form of Vine, Instagram Video, Snapchat Video, and let’s not forget the mother of all video YouTube. The dominos continue to fall with Facebook’s recent purchase of QuickFire (a video compression start-up).

Why will video be so huge in 2015? 3 reasons: it’s personal, it’s engaging, and it’s easy to do.

Personal

Videos are personal because we can directly relate to the person. We immediately feel a connection. Take this video of Chicago Blackhawks Captain, Jonathan Toews. This video is personal because we can all relate to buying girl scout cookies this time of year. It is also scores very high on the cute factor. Or take this video of Mrs. LeBron James

It’s personal because he is talking to us. Video marketing enables brands and personalities to connect with the fans on an entirely new level, and it will change social media marketing for good. Being personal should be a ke component of your video marketing strategy.

Engaging

Watch this.

That wasn’t so hard was it, two minutes of your time and you got everything you need to know. How far can I push that, well that depends on how much people like you, how much they depend on you, how much they trust you. But the more trust you gain the more people will tune in.

Easy to Do

I can’t think of a phone that doesn’t have a camera in today’s world. Most laptops are equipped with a webcam, and if they aren’t a webcam is pretty easy to get. All someone has to do to get a video out there is press record. There is no longer a learning curve when it comes to uploading videos. Sure, the better you want your video to look, the more effort and work goes into it, but simply putting one out there is not difficult at all.
